What is the difference between hand stretch film and machine stretch film?

Machine stretch film is designed for automatic or semi-automatic pallet wrappers. It is supplied in larger rolls and engineered for controlled, higher pre-stretch levels and consistent wrapping tension.
The two grades should not be treated as interchangeable. Using the correct film for the application improves load stability and reduces tearing, waste and wrapping costs.
Should I choose cast or blown hand stretch film?
Cast stretch film offers excellent transparency, quiet unwinding and consistent thickness. It is usually the economical choice for regular cartons, stable pallets and applications where labels or barcodes must remain visible.
Blown stretch film generally provides greater puncture and tear resistance. It is better suited to heavy, irregular or sharp-edged loads, although it is usually hazier and noisier during application.
The best choice depends on whether clarity, cost or puncture resistance is the main priority.
Is pre-stretched hand film better than conventional hand stretch film?
Pre-stretched hand film has already been stretched during manufacturing. It requires less physical effort to apply, provides more consistent tension and can reduce the amount of film used per pallet. It is a good option for lightweight or regular loads and for improving operator comfort.
Conventional hand film allows the operator to control the stretch and containment force during application. It may be more suitable for heavier, unstable or irregular loads that require stronger tension.

How many pallets can one roll of hand stretch film wrap?
The number of pallets per roll varies according to:

What is the difference between clear, colored and black stretch film?

Colored film can be used for product identification, inventory classification, shipment routing or load differentiation. Black or opaque film helps conceal valuable or sensitive products and can reduce visibility during transportation.
For goods stored outdoors, a specially formulated UV-resistant film should be selected. Standard black film should not automatically be assumed to provide long-term UV protection.

Unused rolls should be stored in their original packaging in a cool, dry indoor area, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture and sharp objects.
